Amazon authorization charge

    Hi all,

Bought stuff on amazon the other night and cancelled one item (grouped items) before they were charged and shipped.

However noticed a 20 euro charge on my debit card as well as the amount of the order this morning.

Didn't know where the 20 euro charge came from so rang amazon, they said it is an authorization charge because I cancelled the item.

Is this correct? I have only ever had a 1 euro charge from them to confirm my card, but not 20 euro without notice.

They said it can take 5 - 7 business days to go back on. It just doesn't sound right to me.

    Any help?
