Hi Alex i have just checked offaly co co website for same document regarding development contributions (as you referenced in an answer to another person about guidelines for costs) and it states in red that irish water have taken over and fees are made by and payable to irish water for more information to check the website, even though youve stated that irish water have to comply with the local authorities pricing guidelines? has this changed for offaly only or is the information not correct on the offaly co co website.
you can clearly see in red it has passed over to irish water? can you shed some light on this. sorry i cannot add html because i am a new user. you can find it online.

I am looking at a half acre site with the plan to build a flatpack log cabin 3 bed home with 4 people , size is 10.2m x7m can you give me any idea what price it would be to connect for water coming and and water coming out , separately ? Going off waterfords guidelines it should be 3000 in and out. site im looking at is on the road Approx 20m in,between RHODE village Offaly and EDENDERRY . thanks

    Hi there,

    Thanks for your message.

Irish Water is now responsible for issuing new connection offers based on Local Authority guidelines previously set out.

At this time, we would not be able to provide a cost estimate for the works outlined as an application will first have to be assessed by our New Connections team to ensure the works are feasible. Once the application has been reviewed, we will then issue the applicant an offer letter detailing costs.

To find out more information in relation to this and to submit an application, please visit our Connections section of our website, here.

I hope you find this information helpful. Please do not hesitate to contact us again should you have any further queries.

    Kind regards,
    Micheal
