Some things never change...! So Amazon still seem to be making life difficult when it comes to finding out how much shipping to Ireland costs. I used to be able to log in and select a pull down delivery address menu on the right to find out the delivery cost for an item but this now doesn't seem to work. If I pretend to buy the item, I get as far as the payment screen but still no delivery cost is shown, not even the original delivery cost for the UK?! What am I missing???

Post a link to one such item.

Say product ref B0150BE59U for example {some random socks!). I've actually just managed to get the delivery cost by going beyond the payment screen to the final confirm order button but this is crazily long-winded? There must be an easier way like before?

Also the original £ price increases slightly for some reason, maybe currency conversion approximations?

    VAT.

Not really sure what you mean about the delivery. I clicked add to basket, go to checkout, changed my delivery address to ROI and see two shipping options and the price updates instantly when switching between the two.

If the items have free UK delivery, sign to up parcel motel or similar and you'll have a fixed deliver charge

Also noticed when pre-ordering games from Amazon, used to preorder loads of games, in one big order, throughout the year for each game to be sent on or around release date. But in the last two months this seems to be no more.

Had stuff ordered for release in September October with other games in Nov Dec Jan etc.... All with delivery date in Jan!

Release dates for sept Oct came and went with no dispatch. Seems to be charging for individual postage costs. So, I cancelled them. Fund cheaper elsewhere.

What's going on with Amazon lately?

when you created the order did you select "Group my items into as few deliveries as possible" or "I want my items faster. Dispatch items as they become available. " ?

    Dispatch separately.

Been ordering from Amazon for years. So this is a new thing. Maybe I'll have a chat with customer service, see what they say about it.

Odd. Ordering from Amazon since 2000. So this is definitely new.

well if you selected the second option that is odd. though i thought this was odd
Seems to be charging for individual postage costs

if you selected to ship items as they become available the postage cost was always higher.

I stopped using Amazon for games over a year ago. When they seemed to start using the courier Ascendia. Games were being dispatched weeks after release date

Yeah, I need to look into this some more, I'm clearly doing something wrong or they have changed their system in some way.

In fairness, I've never had that problem with any of the Amazon's. Maybe the odd 3rd party seller but can't remember.

You do reaslise you get free delivery to ireland if you are over £25. Thinking back I don't think I have ever once paid deliver from amazon. I always throw in a tshirt or some random item to get over the limit.

Sometimes you can get free delivery if slightly under £25. And if just below it you can increase over £25 due to Irish VAT, but still I have gotten it free while below £25 at final checkout.

Are you using app or mobile device maybe as I don't get price update like you do with my desktop browser?

on the checkout screen on the desktop (the one headed with "Review your order") the price updates immediately when you change shipping options.
