    Hi there

Left click does not consistently work on my trackpad. I've enabled one tap click, but the left click is needed to select bits of text (eg click and drag)

Very frustrating. Anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks

Did you try restarting, disabling/re-enabling secondary click, wiping the trackpad, etc?
Does secondary click work if you disable "tap to click"?
Is it possible part of your palm is touching the trackpad when this happens? because that will interfere with it and it's fairly easy to do.
Does it only happen with certain parts of the trackpad? i.e. could part of the trackpad be damaged?
Are other trackpad gestures affected? i.e. the three-finger Expose and Mission Control gestures.

It could be any number of problems. You need to experiment and narrow it down. I had this problem with a Magic Mouse a while ago. It was just damaged. A battery leaked into the multitouch surface.
