Renault Fluence locking

I have a 2014 Renault Fluence and it's supposed to lock and unlock when I walk away/towards it without having to take the key card out of my bag.....But it only locks sometimes 😟
Has anyone got any advice/help for me?

have you a second card you could try?

have you changed the battery in the card

my renault keyless entry only seems to get confused if I go to the boot or open a few doors.
leaving the car after parking up without doing any of these things and it works fine.
keyless exit and entry is almost 100% reliable for me

I find on the mother's megane if someone pushes one of the buttons instead of letting it lock /unlock by itself then it makes you push the buttons until you put the card in the slot once then it goes back to working again.

my car is an 08 but it has a similar proximity thingy to the op. if i lock the car using the buttons on the keycard i can only unlock it using the buttons on the keycard. It wont automatically unlock when i approach the car.

Short of trying the other key or changing the battery in the key fob not much else you can do. Is the car still under warranty?

I find that when I have the key card in my pocket along with all my keys etc,the buttons get pressed in my pocket and then I have to use the card to open the door. Also when the battery was getting low I had the same issue until I replaced the battery.

Hi, I only have one keycard...although I haven't checked the battery so I shall try that...thank you x
