Looking to move my current account to a free banking option.

    Anyone have recommendations?

Also, are credit unions an option for this?

    - EBS offer free banking but no mobile app, poor online banking, no contactless, no mobile payments and old fashioned banking.
    - KBC, via KBC Extra Current Account, offer free banking provided you deposit at least 2,500 EUR per month into the account. Android Pay and Apple Pay support. Good app and online experience.
    - N26 offer free banking provided you make no more than 4 ATM withdrawals per month. No branches.
    - PTSB charge 4 EUR per month for banking but give up to 5 EUR per month in cashback depending on your debit card usage.

Combine your local credit union and/or EBS (for the bricks-and-mortar benefits) with N26 and/or Revolut (for the tech benefits) for a free and comprehensive banking/payments setup.
