Not sure if this is the right place to post this so mod can move if not.
Earlier this year we moved into a new house with ofch and a fire place in the sitting room but no back boiler which means most of the heat is going up the chimney. I'm considering getting a gas or electric fire to heat the room while waiting for the rads to heat up
Essentially looking at one of the stove types for aesthetics and to have a "fire" over Christmas.
Is there anyone on here who can recommend which is more cost efficient or are we better sticking with open fire?
