If I'm "planting" an artificial tree and my metal planter doesn't have holes for drainage should i get a few holes drilled in bottom?
Or if i fill it with sand will that absorb the bit of rain that it will get? It will be slightly sheltered

Probably a good idea to have a couple of holes and a few large pebbles in the bottom, I have to admit I wouldn't have thought of it!
