    Hi All

My aim is to get a VPN setup. My ISP is SKY (I don't have the full fiber service. My d/l speed is around 40 MBPS.)

The only way I see of doing this as follows:

    - Get the local ip address of my own router
    - input this in the "DMZ" ip entry on the Sky router settings.
    - Setup a VPN service on my own router.

    Does this make sense?

Are you trying to setup a vpn tunnel so you can connect to your network from outside the LAN?

    Yep. Exactly that

You could do it that way, but its messy.

Better off extracting the sky credentials and using your own kit entirely. Or just hosting an OVPN server.

Any chance you could tell me how to host an OVPN server? Can I do this with the SKY provided router?

Would greatly appreciate any help, even just the basics.

    Thanks!

No, you'd need a Raspberry Pi or Mac mini or something to do it.
