Went to see an imported motor from this garage today
. was exactly what I wanted they were very pleasant and eager to close a deal .
Small deposit , they would do the VRT paperwork and new NCT all included in the sticker price.
all sorted within 10 days deal almost felt too good...Anyone had any dealings with them said they used to be in Drogheada ?

That's not really any sort of bonus really. A dealer is obliged under law to VRT a car on behalf of a customer before selling it. And if it's due an NCT at the same time I'd expect the dealer to put it through as part of the deal.

Have you done a full history check on the car? Checked the service history and verified it with the garages that stamped it? Also how well priced is the car against similar other cars being sold elsewhere? Even if it was very competitively priced I'd still expect to get some sort of discount off the sticker price.

What type car and year is it?

I viewed the 08 white focus they have with 132,000 miles on it. When I did a motorcheck on it when I got home it had 186,000 miles on it in uk in 2016..... maybe they knew or maybe they didn't, I don't know but I bought an 09 focus in another dealer...... it pays to do your own checks

Are they the North Drogheda Rasheeds or the South Drogheda Rasheeds?

10 days to buy a second car seems 9.75 days too slow

I saw one car with them a while back (a 520d). I didn't like the experience. Posted on it at time, "high lights":
I went to see that car today. The plates are obscured in the advert because it's still on UK plates. The salesperson said that the VRT was being done, and the quoted price was with VRT taken care of and NCT... They've loads of cars on UK plates.

In the glove-box was manual and service manual. First few services were in UK (makes sense), and last few (covering *years* and tens of thousands of miles) were with a garage in Tallaght. Car seemed to have been stored a while, battery was flat, one tyre super low, dust on the roof/windows (it's indoors).

Driving, it seemed ok from point of view of smoothness/brakes/ride/etc.,, however there was smoke from the exhaust (visible in rear-view) when accelerating. The salesperson said it was because it had been laid up a while (does that make sense?). At end he said car had been in country a couple of months (even though earlier we'd discussed the fact that it had years of Irish service history apparently).

General vibe was not encouraging, both inconsistencies in narrative and general setup of dealer (though maybe I'm over-reacting?), so I said thanks and headed off. Anyone ever come across this dealer (KR Motors) or a similar type of operation?

I didn't like the setup at all, but that's a personal perspective.
