Fitting shower

I have a bathroom that is 1120mm wide and I want to fit a rectangular shower tray and sliding door. A 1100mm door it seems only extends to 1090mm, what is the best way for me to fit this?

Should I build out the wall with plaster board to fill the 30mm gap?

Here's an example of an 1100mm shower tray where it says it extends to just 1090mm

You can get an extra profile for those doors that extend up to 30mm,That should solve your problem.

You can DM me and i can email you on some examples

Thanks it would be great to see an example, I've sent you a DM.

If you extend the profile of the door, then what about the shower base. Do you just tile the gap between the shower base (1100) and the wall which will be 20mm.

No thats a bad job, guntering at best.

does the tray have an upstand on it? forming a 20 mm lip is a bad detail prone to leak. build the wall out with 2x green board or 2x1 & 1 greenboard so tiles sit down over upstand if its there & tank before tiling if not, seal with Classi seal & tank the whole lot before tiling.

I haven't bought any of the materials yet. I was thinking of getting this tray http://www.mylifebathrooms.com/Products/View/3/Product/592/ProductCategory/327 . So no idea if it has an upstand, would it?

If I build the wall out with plaster board, then how should I finish the bit on the side - which will include the depth of a tile and the depth of the plaster board. Probably 30-40mm in total. See the purple part in the image below:

Would this 30-40mm be too thin to tile?

Doesnt have an upstand from what i can see anyways, You need to get a classiseal & stick it to the edges of the tray before fitting. regarding the edge, this is as u look in from out side the shower? either tile it or plaster & paint & try get a trim to match the shower screen your preference reallly.

Have you no plumber or tiler?

Yes. This is as you look at it from the outside. The left handside won't have any tile edge visible as it's the existing wall.

If I match the shower frame with chrome triming I guess I would just match it to same height as shower frame, then tile the bit between the top of shower frame and ceiling.

Is it possible to get identical chrome material that matches the shower frame? Where would I get this?

I do. But past experience has taught me to look into my options myself so I end up with something I'm happy with.
