I have an Amica AK311 integrated fridge/freezer.  Thick ice is forming at the back of the fridge.  The food is still cold.  Anyone any ideas what could be causing the ice build up?

    Blocked drain hole?

Check the seal of the door.
If it’s constantly getting fresh moist air on it will build ice on the coldest parts which are the back.

Personally when the drain blocks we see water dribbling out the front of tue door so it should be obvious if the drain is blocked.

Water doesn't pool on the bottom of the fridge.  The ice starts from the top and goes down about 3 shelves.  A friend of ours mentioned the door seal but it looks ok (not that I'm an expert), I can't seem to find a door seal for that make/model anywhere.  I thought maybe it was something other than the seal.

listen to it and see if the compressor is normally cutting in and out on temperature, if not it more than likely has a refrigerant leak
