Does anyone here have experience in the use of the hydraulic pump conversion kit which replaces the pto drive on the tank?
    Thanks in advance.

Why would you want to do that? The pump doesn't require much power. I never heard of it being done.

    Safety. Simple as that.

A proper pto cover and hydraulic ram to change from spread to fill would be a cheaper option.

Plus you can pump when tractor is at an angle which can be handy. Seen a guy on donedeal with them.
Another plus point is if a pumps vanes break it can snap and wring off the pto. That would not happen with pump

Would any hydraulic motor do like a one off an old wrapper?

A crowd in tipp called S&M trailers & tanks do them. Look them up on fb. They are grand to deal with.

So all it is is a hydraulic motor on a frame fixed to the drawbar, how much are they charging for it?

€900, a rip off, a secondhand hydraulic motor and if your handy at welding you'd have the job done at a fraction of that cost.

The princely sum of 1600 of your finest european coins. Plus 23% vat of course.

Correct, I've seen the ad on donedeal, 650 quid or so. I was just looking for other people's experiences with it.

    2k, I wouldn't pay that for a tanker.

Is that for a kit or do they fit it for that
The market doesn't be long putting manners on overcharging,
Although guys going round missing legs or arms would think even the €2000 as cheap, €30000 was the price of an artificial leg the last I heard
    High prices cure high prices

I doubt the system would pass in industry, There's a reason we're the most accident prone lot

They are passing in industry. I see vacuum tankers go in and out of ICM in Camolin every day. PTO shafts and all.

While most dangerous sector is the pto shaft biggest contribution

Hydraulic pipes are not without personal
    danger either.
Always learned when doing the green cert about the dangers of a pin hole appearing in a pipe and oil escaping through that hole under extreme pressure.
