Hi all, am planning an extension and am budgeting for electrics. How much is it nowadays for extra sockets etc.? Also is there a difference in cost between chrome fittings and the white ones?
Just budgeting at the moment so an approximate cost would help. Thanks in advance.

Have you asked a sparks to price yet?
The base price for a point is the same but the second fox cost difference is substantially more for the chrome fittings and if you go for the usb fittings.

Don’t forget to include enthernet cables at all tv points and these should be routed back to wherever the broadband router is.

Think plain white were 6 euro or so and chrome around 12 euro for us.

Being quoted approx €120 per point, first fix, second fix and chrome switches/sockets etc.

I remember when the house was being built years ago that the electrician was looking for £50 per extra socket.

Has it gone up that much since then???
