    Hi,
I want to buy some silver (or white gold) jewelry for my wife's 40th. My fashion and jewelry knowledge is fairly poor.

I like this and I know she would but it's about 200 euro more than i can afford

(sorry for unclickable link as it's my first post I'm not allowed post links)

So can someone help me out here by pointing me in the direction of some nice silver jewelry (shop or online). An Irish designer would be good.

I'm based in Dublin so could squeeze out at lunchtime to look at any recommended shops

I'm about the same age as your wife and silver/white gold is my favourite jewellery as well.

I'd recommend having a look in Djinn Jewellery on Wexford Street, they have some beautiful stuff which ranges in price from inexpensive to some slightly more expensive ranges and they are lovely to deal with. Otherwise maybe a pendant or something from Chupi or a piece from MoMuse, they are both in the Powerscourt Centre.

Newbridge silverware would do bracelets of a similar style I think.

One of 'the' names to look for in silver jewellery is Georg Jensen, a danish maker of fame. The ebay.fr, ebay.de and ebay.co.uk sites have relevant items.

Cartier and Tiffany would be other notable names.

thanks for the suggestion and while the style is similar she has told me before she's not a fan of their stuff. Not sure why but I guess I got her the Newbridge stuff when we were first going out 20yrs ago and probably looking for something a bit more unique.

Georg Jensen does gorgeous stuff, I got two silver Christmas decorations in Copenhagen and they're beautiful.
