Just a word of warning to anyone getting the new Siro Digiweb Electric broadband connection. The installer is instructed to install the interior wall socket outlet at the closest power outlet to the electrical meter box on your house.(outside meter box) I had asked the sales team when ordering as to where the box would be fixed and they said, " just let the installer know where you would like it!" This is not the case! I didn't have access to the bedroom as the door was locked and my daughter wasn't about to get it open and had to cancel install! If the sales team stated this at time of ordering it would have saved a lot of hassle! The installer said Digiweb was the only supplier operating this way, as he was installing for other companies to! ☹️

    **Update**
The installer is now across the road installing for Vodafone and is installing the cable into the sitting room! That's where I had originally wanted my Digiweb Electric broadband connection! 😀😭

Let them know and then get vodafone to install where you want it installed

Its not as publicly documented but presumably its the same as a DPE for OpenEir, costs the provider €100 extra for the interior run. Digiweb are cheaping out.

Thanks, I just wanted to let people know they won't work with customers as to where the interior box is fitted! Lads across road on Vodafone install are nearly finished! Very quick,!!

My mate just rang me to find out how good the new internet speeds were on Digiweb , couldn't believe me it had not been installed! And a remark he made is oh so true. It's 2017 not 1907 who the hell wants the main internet connection in a bedroom! Still waiting on a answer from Digiweb 😢

Ive been looking into getting Siro from DigiWeb also, so thank OP for the heads up. I'd much prefer the new box in the sitting room rather than the hall.

Separate Question on the router for those that have been connected with DigiWeb. What is a precise model of the Fritz!box that you get? Is it one of the newer models or the one from about 5 years ago? And are the speeds as consistent as they say?

I was sent the Fritz! Box 7560. Seen a few good reports on it , it covers 2.4 and 5 GHz

7560 will do full speed wired. Having said that, my laptop craps out at 890 Mbit/s. And well, lets say, I managed 561 down, 193.99 up on a GigE using my Samsung S7 on 5 GHz wifi with that router.

Not the routers fault, that it wasn't faster. I'd blame the mobile.
