Last time I wet shaved I used the triple blades from Aldi. Didn't get as many shaves as I did from the Mac 3 but they are way cheaper.

Jesus. I would get about 500 DE blades for 30 quid.

To each their own, but I'd rather go with Wilkinson Quattro Titanium. 9 cartridges with a premium quality handle plus an 8 cartridges refill packs come up at about 25 euro at amazon, just throw in something extra into the basket for a free delivery.

    I use these

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Flex-Comfort-Mens-Razors-Pack/dp/B00V4QP0E0

I get months out of each one, just give them a rub against an old pair of jeans every few shaves.

Too many bad reviews of them being counterfeit blades, and long shipping times from Jersey.

Id stick to the Boots ones as you know for sure they're genuine.

the cheapest decent blades are these at 50p each. basically the same as the mach 3 with 3 blades just diff attachment on back.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gillette-Blue3-Mens-Disposable-Razor/dp/B0046ZT0Z6/ref=sr_1_sc_1_s_it?s=drugstore&ie=UTF8&qid=1510150849&sr=1-1-spell&keywords=giltette+blue+3

the only thing is that the handle is uncomfortable, deliberately so as to create a product segment.

buy one of these to get the handles and use the blades (same blades used and easily clipped off), much better handle.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gillette-Sensor-Mens-Disposable-Razors/dp/B014DGA1F0/ref=sr_1_sc_3_s_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1510150936&sr=1-3-spell&keywords=giltette+sensor+3
(the sensor 3 are normally not as cheap as that)

shake excess water out of razor, dry on a towel and store in a ziplock bag for it to remain sharper longer by preventing oxidization.

    Double Edge blades.

Worth the initial investment and then you can buy blades for around €0.50 each (or less).

I bought this razor last year, got a mixture of blades to test out with and see which one/s suit my face best.

Haven't looked back since. Once you get used to it, it is also a much more comportable shave IMHO.

Why is it that everytime someone mentions a bargain on Gilette there is always someone who comes in to mention DE blades?

You know you dont buy gilette blades, you can see the thread is about Gilette blade. Why bother reading it.

This is a bargain if you use Gilette blades.

DE blades are great if you don't die of blood loss first from learning to shave with them. And any saving is hoovered up by your tissue paper bill.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

I wouldn't be shaving with a safety razor if it wasn't for someone mentioning them in Bargain Alerts in a razor blades sale thread. Curiosity got the better of me and I haven't looked back.
    They're a bargain and give a better shave....why shouldn't they be mentioned?

I tried safety razors after reading about them on threads here too.

I bought a good Merkur razor, good blades, shaving soap and a brush.

I use the shaving brush and soap for every shave with my Wilkinson disposable razors.

But I don't use the safety razor at all. The time and hassle required for it just isn't worth it...

Ok. Keep your...eh...hair on. I was just amazed at how expensive cartridge razors have become. If it’s your thing then great, I just thought some people might be interested in saving a small fortune. It is BA after all.

    Totally agree...
Op was pointing out a bargain price on Fusion blades and was unaware that there would be such a fuss about using fusion blades.
I love the convenience of using Fusion razor and gel.
To me its like any modern convenience that can save time and make life easier.
    To me its akin to:
    A shower instead of a bath;
Chelsea boots (pull on or zip)instead of of lace up.
    Netflix instead of recording/channel watching.
    Texting instead of phoning.
Internet shopping instead of being ripped off..
    etc ect...
Some people came on talking about old fashioned shaving and I say everyone to their own.
They said it takes 10 minutes to do a shave.
It takes me 1 minute to shave while I'm showering .
I use an antifog mirror with suction cup that attaches to my electric shower unit Mira Elite.
This saves me 9 minutes per day, 53 hours a year, over 50 years that's 111 days.
More time to make love to your wife.
I get about 20 shaves per blade usually pay €2 per blade that makes 8 cent per shave which I don't mind paying for convenience:)

Not a great deal 2.15e per blade in tesco you can buy 10blades for 21e so its 2.1e per blade Mach 3.

    https://www.tesco.ie/groceries/Product/Details/?id=292529896

But the best deal is here https://www.sammccauley.com/gillette-mach-3-razor-blades-4-cartridges.html

As a seasoned head shaver I can tell you I've tried em all from the mach 3 to the pro glide over the last 11 years. Yes the mach3 you get from dunnes or tesco are pretty decent but the ones from amazon are pretty much fake. I purchased some a couple of years back and even during the first shave the little strip would disappear. I then tried them a year later incase I got a bad batch and low and behold the same.

The pro glide would be fairly decent for the face but the 5 blades are too much for the head I reckon.

After reading reviews I tried the Aldi blades the 3 bladed ones and omg they are sharp as hell. I 100% recommend them. Yes you won't get as many shaves per blade as the mach 3 but @€;2something per 6 pack I find them great.

There was a special on in dunnes about 2 weeks ago, 1 mach3 razor and 2 blades for 7 quid, I bought it, tried it and back on the Aldi blades. The Aldi blades are much much sharper!
