    Hi
Any advice appreciated on this - I am in NI where Saorview isn't available and I want to watch the match on Saturday night on RTE.
Although RTE2 is available on Freeview it will undoubtedly block the match.
This means me looking at the option of trying RTE Player - will this be available to watch live in NI
If not does anyone know how I can get RTE to watch the match
If all fails I could pay for a NowTV pass for 24 hours and watch it on Sky but this is a last option
    Thanks

The player won't work without some VPN jiggery pokery.
    Saorsat would work.

I know nothing about VPN jiggery-pokery. Is it difficult?

I thought SaorSat blocked games. I heard someone on radio complaining about it as it wouldn't show Champions League games on RTE

Sky Sports have the exclusive rights to the Republic's games in the north, that's basically why it's blocked.

Sorry to be pedantic but I would have thought that a lot of pubs in N. Ireland would be showing this as interest would be high so why not try a pub?

Dont know what your satellite set up is eamon, but I or others regularly post the RTE broadcaster feed for these games. Its normally 23.5E or 0.8W that RTE use.

Keep an eye on the latest posts in this thread nearer to kick off.

Sorry to be pedantic, but that is not what pedantic means. ;)

At the moment RTE block Champions league games only

All other sport's are in the clear including Irish International's.

I didn't need it in the end as I was able to get down to relatives house who gets Saorview but thanks to all for their help and particularly to the link to the thread which I will keep my eye on from now on.
