canvas repairs to trailer tent

Have a trailer tent ,20+ years old at least.
Canvas needs some patch work done as tears becoming prevalent.
What's best advice on repairing these rips ,before they get worse.
Any specialists in thus sort of thing?
Got self adhesive canvas patches from amazon to apply after sewing of rips.
Planning a new cover, insulated tarp, to make sure its good over winter.

If its synthetic canvas then proper sail repair tape from a chandlery both sides and it shouldn't need any sewing, if its cotton canvas then depending on the size of the rips iron on repair patches should again require no sewing is it iron on ones you bought?

Hi,

In keeping with the above, who might fit a new zip to an awning (Canvas) or repair the bit the feeds into the awning rail? Ideally here in IRL rather than have to send it too far away.

too flimsy and after folding away and opening up tent again, almost peel away.

Tent canvas is probably duck cotton thin adhesive layer on the patch would sit on top of the fibres.
