I've had enough of this Mother Nature crap.

We all know who is more powerful, albeit not quite so temperamental.

Having more than one sex is limited to the higher organisms. Nature could survive without male of female, as it did for billions of years.

I demand the phrase be changed to "Parent Nature" forthwith!

    Only a sexist would disagree.

I think the term started with the idolization of Sile na Gigs. I think the story goes that the human species emerged from the rock and the Sile na Gig was the stone carving of this legend/religion??

This shit needs to stop, as in threads like this.

Long before that. 1300bc the Greeks wrote of Ma-ka or "Mother Gaia". In almost all cultures Nature is seen as a woman due to the connection with giving birth.

Some of the earliest art portrays a mother figure as the fount of natures bounty, the connection of seasonal rebirth and women was made very early in our story.

Yeah, we should do what we do with threads on abortion and role em all up into one master thread. We could call in "All the things wimmin do wrong and how to claim back control" :pac: Then I can pretend that thread doesn't exist! :)

Ah, come on now. We are all over the concept of the nuclear familiy with a natural father and mother, it's all patchwork family now.
Nature could be actually a stepsister or halfbrother.

Nature doesn't care either way, as long as it/she/he has fun.

On a more serious note: Regarding the latest posts there seems to be a fear going around among the male boards population, that females actually might be powerful and take away your lunch money, no?

Could merge it with the boob squeeze thread too where all men were being accused of being rapists.

Let all the bitter people, men and women, post in it.

In early christianity the holy spirit was often interpreted as female. This was linked with greek idea, or Gnostic idea of Hagia Sophia - Holy Wisdom, was female.

Many spiritual traditions Hermetic, Gnostic and Kabbalah view Divinity in a dual male female format.

Yes and the "girls" thread. Basically any thread that revolves around gender based generalisations and the same tired arguments! It's just getting tedious at this stage!
