I'm going to be "one of those" and mention I use uBlock Origin (chrome / firefox), and Firefox Focus on the phone.

    So, I rarely see ads.

    No not effective.
Anyone who has used the internet for a while instantly just closes them. Even adverts built into a pages design get blanked. Your eye instantly does not look at them.

That said... a lot of people out there must be clicking on them. Otherwise we would have a new way to get annoyed.

I'll never understand why people may money for pop-up ads. I couldn't even tell you what they were advertising most of the time.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I think some of them might be harmful to your computer.

Elderly... or those who aren't as tech-savvy as us (or like me, cynical).

Before they know it they've already entered their credit card details to be eligible to claim that 10,000USD.

They are guaranteed to make sure I never buy the product that they are advertising.

Even if the prospect of having a 15 inch knob may be tempting.....
