    Hey guys.

The other half is considering jaw surgery and we're trying to find an insurer that would cover it. Any ideas? Thanks

    Insurance won't cover a pre-existing condition

it is now a known condition so if you get any insurance that helps, you will wait 5 years for cover to kick in...

It would not cover everything and braces are also required that are not covered...

    Has she seen an orthodontist?

Yep, orthodontist and consultation with jaw surgeon. Do you know if it would even cover any basics e.g. hospital stay etc?

So now it is definitely a known pre existing condition.

Just to clarify, do you already have medical insurance and are looking to change the plan to suit this procedure or are you completely new to medical insurance???
