employment on working holiday visa

Hey guys

I'm here on a work holiday visa which lasts for 1 year, the rules are I can work unlimited hours but only on contract or casual no permanent positions, also I can only work for one company for 6 months

When I arrived I was told about the whole GNIB appointment system now Im waiting 2 months for my appointment, pretty sure I cant actually start work until I've had the appointment??

Also Im not sure if Ill get a stamp 1 or stamp 4.. if its a stamp 1 they say something about the employer needing a permit before employing me???

Edit: I think it might say that you need at least a stamp 1 to work and if you dont have one your employer must get a permit for you to get a stamp 1(?)

If this is the case where I cant work in a permanent role, can only work for 6 months (and the employer needs a permit maybe?), what employer is actually going to bother employing me??? After 6 months all my knowledge goes out the door and they need to find someone else, also more basic jobs out there see me as overqualified!
