Request a Saturday appointment for driving test

Is it possible to do this?

I am doing minibus lessons with ISM. The instructor has told me that I am approaching test standard and that I should apply for the test.
He just wants me to do one or two more to knock a certain bad habit out of me.

I work Monday to Friday and it is very difficult to get time off and I have no more annual leave remaining.

I know that there are loads of car tests going on and more testers than you can shake a stick at for cars so they might (and often do) have tests spilling over to Saturday so those who request the Saturdays will probably get it, but there are flip all people doing bus tests and C tests and enough testers to test them, so beggars can't be choosers, they'll probably just lob us all into a Wednesday or something.

Would they accommodate me in any way?

I am looking for a test in D1 (not B).

    Hi Op,

I requested a Saturday test date because I work Monday to Friday and couldn't afford to take time off.

It allowed me to tick 3 days I wasn't available for, but I couldn't select all 5 days so I just emailed them to ask if I could have a Saturday test day and to be put on a cancellation list for a Saturday if I could. They called me with a test day 2 weeks later and then the test was another 3 or 4 weeks after that.

I know you're looking at cat D and not B but they will accommodate because you wont be the only person to have needed a Saturday.

Depends on the test centre. There are fewer C and D testers and they work between centres. I recently did my C test and the only available days for c tests were Thursday and Friday at my local centre.

If I contacted the RSA would they tell me where the D tester might be on a Saturday and I could book my test based on that?

All you can do is ask
