    Hello all

I wish to announce my intention to create a Proper functioning Mastermind group. I was part of a great group some years ago. I never got back into it since returning to Ireland. The time is right for me now ! ..... On reflection today, I just realised I had access to lots of great people here on boards.ie . If this is you, please do send me a PM. No hidden agenda here, and I will gladly share my credentials with those individuals that show serious potential and who already know the mechanics of it. Open to all business owners particularly those in the midst of the steep learning curve process. :D:D:D. (start up and early stages) ...... Mixed gender works best for perhaps up to 4 people. This is a not for profit group and I will update the thread as required.

PS: This is not a discussion thread on who, what, where or why.

    Thanks for reading .

    Regards

    Tim:cool:

    Update

    Hi All...

Still 1/2 more spots available ...Any takers ?... If it's not best suited to you, I will tell you upfront and move forward with no pain and no guilt. The idea among those committed group members thus far is to meet 1 evening every 2 weeks at a venue equidistant to all. ie. Community center / private meeting room at a pub or hotel. However this is not to suggest that this is a social group. As business owners our time is the most valuable commodity we have and so it must be used wisely. There could be a small nominal charge to cover venue rental.

    Regards

    Tim

    Hi All

One place has since been vacated due to family commitments. Please drop me a quick Bio in a short message if you think this new mastermind is for you. Please, please do not apply if you have previously applied for a spot.

For the purposes of clarification. .....Some Business Mastermind Groups are run by people who are paid. This person (leader) who is also a member would be responsible for structure, balance and time keeping during the focused discussions.....

Not so in this case ! There is no leader role here so each member in the group will be given that task on a rotation basis.

    Regards

it won't be customer service & sales.

Anyone feel like taking one for the team and joining this , simply to silence the thread :)

    Wow....! Thats so interesting...

Statement not meant to be offensive but direct. Today info is so easy to access.

Conformity is the greatest challenge of our time....

You clearly are not my target audience .

    Happy Christmas

When I read the opening post way back I thought 'What pompous, arrogant twaddle' and did not bother. Just read it again – really – “On reflection today, I just realised I had access to lots of great people here on boards.ie”. Later on the poor chap is “pondering” and adds even more clichéd platitudes.
A Mastermind group can be successful when composed of a tightly-knit mix of specialists that is managed properly and led by an effective & successful person. Too many groups are used as sales opportunities, or by those who want to fuel an ego: most of them are composed of losers of the 'life coach' / Dale Carnegie variety.

Where to start? The idea that an anonymous poster with less than 50 posts would expect experienced regulars to bang off their CVs to be assessed by him is daft. Those that do so are losers, craving a bit of attention.
The notion that anyone would wish to spend an evening a week miles away from home and pay for it is absurd. But then, judging by much of the rubbish posted by idiots in this forum he should have no shortage of takers. They deserve each other.
And a Merry Christmas to you too Sysp.

I would imagine that is for a Mod to decide.

I had never heard of this concept before you mentioned it and it does, in theory, seem like a good idea.

However, I can't help but feel that a discussion thread would have generated more interest and broadened the pool of applicants that would like to partake in your group. Surely this would be good for the ultimate group that formed? Otherwise it just smacks of "if you have to ask the price, you shouldn't be buying" eliteism.

    Hi
    It's not for everyone.
I would prefer to think that folks, if at all interested would do their own due diligence and spend 10 minutes to research the title ...... "Business Mastermind Groups". This alone will allow one to determine if it's a right fit for their company going forward. If so then perhaps a quick message will determine whether you fit in.
There are 5 places only and all need to be in different sectors to function best. take it further by sending a private message.

BTW....I have a really thick skin and so have no bitterness towards any of the strange comments here. I see them as only opinions. Extremely flawed but non the less opinions.

There will be no firther comment from me here....Happy Christmas to all and may Peace & Joy be with you all today and always

    Regards

    Tim
