I'm on my 3rd Sportage diese. l I change every 2 yrs as I drive for work. Although I'm pleased with it , I'd like a change.
I do about 30K km pa . I don't need a large car but would like a high spec as I am used to in the Sportage. Parking camera etc. My friend has a BMW 1 series and she's happy with that but I think the x1 might appeal more (used to SUV feel) although I'm going up a lot in price. from the Sportage and don't know if that's justified.

Peugeot 3008 is european car of the year, worth having a look at an Allure or GT line in them, cost to change would be a lot less than the bmw and you still have the SUV feel. I think you'll be impressed when you get into one http://www.peugeot.ie/range/find-your-vehicle/3008-suv.html

Kia have launched a new crossover called the Stonic which is smaller and cheaper than the Sportage. Hyundai have their version of it too called the Kona. If you prefer something similar to the Sportage then the Ford Kuga is worth a look at, the ST Line is well equipped.

The Kona is quite small though. Juke sized nearly.

Have you got the current Sportage or the older model?

The reason I suggested the Kona/Stonic is because the OP mentioned that they didn't need a large car. Toyota CHR would be in the same boat size wise.

Recently facelifted Nissan Qashqai would be similar in size to the Sportage.

The new Dacia Logan Stepway looks nice, doesn't seem to be out here yet, only the UK dealers have it.

A Mazda CX-3 or CX-5 are very classy stylish cars. Well worth looking at.

A Citroen C3 Aircross or a C4 Cactus are a little different and also worth looking at if its the new year you want to get your car. The C3 Aircross has a new type of suspension that is supposed to make it a very comfortable car for going over speed bumps and bad roads. The C4 Cactus has just had a revamp and gets new seats and front styling so if you like it just make sure its the latest revamped version of it.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.
