Irish Rail - Purchasing tickets for Christmas

I cant seem to book a train ticket for the Christmas period.

I want to travel from Heuston to Cork on the 22nd or 23rd of December and return the week after but the system just times out.

The FAQ on the Irish Rail website suggests tickets go on sale 60 days in advance and we are well within that time period.

Do the Christmas period tickets normally go on sale closer to Christmas or am I having old man technology problems? :)

The new timetable is out the 9th December

Bookings from the 9th have been suspended temporarily

Yep the new Timetable hasn't been uploaded to the journey planner yet.

Irish rail did say on twitter that it should be online next week.

In today's Indo it said that if the train strike escalates the 16th/17th December and 23/24th December would be the next dates they are targeting.
Taking Shane Ross' usual inaction into account I'd try and source alternative transport

To be honest, unless the strike is resolved between now and then, I'd be booking with either Aircoach or GoBE to Cork.
