considering a 2103 vw passat 1.6 tdi with 110km on it at what seems a good price at around 10keuro
its an irish car with one owner but no dealer service history
have done an extended test drive (2 days) and cant find any obvious issues with noises or warning lights

is there anything I should look for and does anyone know the timing belt change interval on this car

    thanks

210k kms is the belt interval. They are actually fairly decent reliability wise, suspension can he a bit soft but the fundamentals of the engine and gearbox are good.

Keys are expensive so make sure you get two. The clutches can get very heavy on high milers, make sure the pedal is nice and soft otherwise I'd budget for a clutch kit.

It's likely affected by the emissions update recall, not necessarily a bad thing if the update has been done and you are satisfied with how it drives.

    thanks for info

I thought clutch pedal was a bit heavy but had someone else drive it that didnt think so i am used to petrols and not diesels so that may be reason

Modern diesels don't really have heavy clutches. Be aware they can give EGR trouble, which is quite expensive for what it is.
