    hi guys,
bought a 2008 honda crv about 6 weeks ago. Tonight in the last hour the alarm is going off intermittently and the battery is flat. It is sitting outside my house and I think its going to wreck our neighbours heads for the timeit keeps going off. The alarm sounds like its an internal one but can be heard outside, if you get what I mean? the car if flat and wont turn over.
Im at a loss and desperate as im not really used to the ins and out if the car being our first Honda.
Please help / advice as the FOB isnt even working
    thanks

You could disconnect the battery just to stop the alarm going off over night but that isn’t going to fix your problem of why it’s going off. Is there a spare key fob you could try ?

Alarm may have a backup battery if it's aftermarket.

it has stopped now but the car is dead. I have manually locked it with the key. Im sitting here paranoid that the alarm will go off again...
any advice on disconnecting it is it does ir what the issue might be and how to resolve it?
Im going to hook up the jump leads in the morning, but surely the battery shouldnt be acting up having just bought it from a dealer 6 weeks ago

A battery can go faulty at anytime and just because you bought it from a dealer 6 weeks ago doesn't mean a thing as the battery was probably fine then and even if it is old it wouldn't be common practice to replace it before sale unless it was on the way out.
