    Hi,

am putting firebricks in an out door oven and was wondering what to use to bond the bricks to the concrete block walls of the fire place?

is there anything like a cement/binder/plaster in powder form that you add water and mix

    thanks for your help

What’s the heat rating on that? Why do you consider us specialist compared to another fire cement out of curiosity.? Not sure if that is powder form either. I could be wrong

Those are all pre mixed I have used them all I found the mix a little dry for working with bricks but it did give good results to be fair.
How big is the oven you will be making as you might need a fair few tubs.

Bostik Fire Cement (Formerly Cementone Fire Cement) Is Manufactured Using Only The Finest Quality Materials. It is a ready-mixed asbestos-free blend of inorganic fillers and water based thermo-setting resins, which dries cement like when exposed to heat and is suitable for all domestic applications. Bostik Fire Cement is tested up to 1250øC and has excellent adhesion to refractory brickwork and clayware. Bostik Fire Cement is suitable for repairs to a wide range of applications where heat resistance is required, including, fire backs, internal flue pipes, solid fuel heaters, boilers and other surfaces which may be exposed to extreme heat.

thanks for that, I cannot find replacement fire bricks for my 20 yr old woodburning stove and this should do the trick to fix the broken ones I have in the stove

    Hi Goat
Stove fire bricks are very easy to find any diy merchant should stock them.

Robclay 70 could be a bit much for the premixed stuff.
Id ask in a builders providers for a cement additive,
