Water Pipe Burst on Rising Main between Tonabrocky Cross & Circular Rd

    Saturday, 4th November - 06:30
Water has been restored on circular road, but owing to the nature of the leak, the mains repair is proceeding slowly and there remains a small leak. Supply problems may be experienced this morning until the early afternoon, when the reservoir should start recovering.
Letteragh Road will remain closed over the coming days.
Galway City Council apologises for any inconvenience.

Seems to be repaired now. Got this text alert from City Council:

Tonabrucky burst: Repair completed overnight. Supply interruptions in area until reservoir refills over next 24 hrs. Letteragh Rd remains closed

Never sure if it's unsafe or not but run your water a bit. Mine was milky white for a while Sat night and Sun morn.
