eircom.net email address no longer works on Apple Mail

    I upgraded the OS on my iMac to El Capitan and no longer have access to my eircom.net mail account via Mail on my desktop. I have checked the settings, they are the exact same as those on the Mail App on my iPhone which continues to work

    Have any Boards Users experienced this issue? Any suggestions to remedy the problem are welcome. eir support is really slow and unsatisfactory

    Eir sent out a memo recently saying you need to log in to your mail (web interface; not POP) periodically to ensure your account remains active. So that’s one thing to rule out.

    Sorted it, downloaded the Mozilla Thunderbird Mail App, works like a dream!
