There'll be no civil service for me I guess!

    What does "OOM" mean?

Order of Merit I think. So, as I understand it, there's 1900 other people ahead of me in the queue for a job.

Yeah - it is order of merit... Im in the 4,000... but i have other vacancies that are coming thru in the meantime so ill probably get one of those

If anyone reading this got an OOM of less than 1900, let us know!:)

I haven't got anything else, this is my only active thing at the moment.

I wonder how quickly vacancies are filled, like even 500 would seem like a pretty high number!

Did you know there is another thread for this? People are discussing their results there. I am through for EO - i picked Westmeath and Galway and will probably get that in the new year. I think the next step might be online verbal and numerical tests and if you pass those you get a new order of merit. They hired loads of people for EO for Dublin - thats why the regionals are so slow. So yeah - with your result i would be hopeful!!!!

Ah jays, another thread, apologies for double posting!

No worries! But when you go to it you will see people with OOM in 2000 and hopeful!

No problem - am switching over to the other forum now. I just checked the handbook and i think the next step will probably be verbal and numerical test - at least i hope so....

I got around 1100 scored near enough 600. just remember the test was advertised on Facebook so everyone and their dog has done the test without necessarily wanting the job.

Batch 1, supervised testing on next Tuesday (14/11/17). Very short notice to attend, especially with a planned rail strike due.

I got called for the supervised test on the 15th
