Pulled Wire from Heating Timer

I'm considering replacing my heating timer (it's an APT model) with a digital one as the loud ticking noise it makes is driving me nuts. So I was rooting about to see what the wiring situation was and now it's stopped ticking altogether. I didn't touch any of the wires but I think I may have accidentally pulled a wire out of the connection when I was taking it off the wall.

I have a single core wire going into 'Live In',
a 3 core with Neutral to 0, Live to 'Live Out'
another 3 core with Neutral to 0, Live not attached to anything.

Should this loose wire go in Live In, Live Out or is that right?

Before I go touching wires there is a spurred fuse beside the timer. I had this pulled whenever I wasn't using the heating and the ticking would stop. However, now there is no ticking with fuse in either. Is it safe to work on the timer wiring once this is pulled???

Last question. What do the wires connect to? Am I right in guessing one goes to the oil burner and the other to the immersion?

Have attached some images to explain the setup a bit better .
