Live where in Dublin for IT jobs

We recently moved back to Ireland and bought a house in my wifes home town of Monasterevin. We did this because the house prices were insane where we were living and we didn’t want to get trapped there should the bubble burst. I have secured a job locally but my wife hasn’t been as successful. For this reason we are considering living in Dublin weekdays if it makes financial sense. She has worked previously as a project manager with respect app development and would like to continue working with project management. She has worked in IT for ten years, as have I. I have worked as a software developer consultant with a very broad competence but prefer working with python and agile.

What parts of Dublin are the two of us likely to gain employment in?

    Thanks,
    Barry

Silicon Docks is probably your best bet

There's a wide spread of places in Dublin where there's IT jobs, best is to look and see where there are current openings on irish jobs or recruit ireland......The silicon docks wouldn't really be worth living atm it's probably the most expensive average rent in the country

Thanks! Because so many of the jobs are through recruiters, it can be difficult to figure out where in Dublin they are.

What kinds of jobs are in city west and park west? Would these areas be of interest or are the silicon docks a more likely source of employment? What is the commute time from Hueston to the docks in the morning?
