It appears that the Mater only offer renewal appointments two days a week with over a months delay.
    Is Charter any better?

Charter messed me around for two months last year, never again would I go near them, ended up going back to the mater for my renewal..

having said that, a few others I know have used charter and found them very good, so maybe I just got unlucky..

I did my initial and renewal in Charter, I find them very good, I think I waited only about 2 weeks to get in for a renewal this summer.
