Attic Coalition music collective

Any musicians in the general Greystones/Bray/Cabinteely/Wicklow area interested in meeting up? Willing to facilitate a jam in my place in Greystones (I've set up a small makeshift studio there), I'm primarily a guitarist with a love for effects pedals and My Bloody Valentine-like textures, but open to anything from Ambient (Eno etc) to Progressive Jazz time-signature fun (eg Jaga Jazzist). I am play (to a less proficient level) other instruments such as Erhu, Morin Khuur, Bass, Hammered Dulcimer and have a collection of Synths and Keyboards I like to play about with.

As long as its pushing the envelope, I'm up for it! I also have some other more "conventional" tunes written from a few years ago, think mainstream sounding Arcade Fire / Sigur Ros-like sound. Looking to rebuild this Collective from the ashes, I've plenty of material ready to go and written, and also material previously recorded with former members that have now emigrated and therefore left the collective. I've a good bit of material written and self-recorded, but I typically don't share recordings online until they have been copyrighted etc. PM me and let's arrange to meet up. Do you write and play instruments yourself?

i had a listen to your tunes on soundcloud, good stuff...some of it reminded me of elbow...anyway i have some music up there too, i am a mainly a singer but can play guitar or try my hand at whatever is required when writing or recording, am based in ballybrack, near killiney/cabinteely etc

Hi Derek, thanks for the link, however we're more looking for some multi-instrumentalists at the moment rather than a vocalist, but I'll be in touch in the future if we need a vocalist.

I get your Elbow reference btw; 'Falling Asleep on Mars in 2006' infact predates Elbow's "One Day Like This" so we're raging we didn't release it sooner!

Have a variety of influences including but not limited to Warpaint, Nirvana, Qotsa, Damien rice, Radiohead, aracde fire? Etc.

Would live to make with you and whoever else you're playing with! Been trying to find local musicians to play with since I moved to bray nearly two years ago but have only found people playing head music:/

Give me a shout if you're interested at all because I definitely am!
