    So I see the Ibrahim Halawa thread has been shut down.

    Fair enough, there was a spate of very tiresome and repetitive posting, doing nothing to add to the debate.

    However the decision to shut it down, with the additional warning not to open it again rather than dealing with problematic posters, seems rather heavy handed and smacks of suppression of a debate/discussion of a very topical issue.
