Pay Scale start point with UK experience

Hi all. Having been teaching in the uk fpr three years, I am thinking of applying for jobs back home. In the UK we have a point scale similar to Ireland. Will my position on the Uk scale have any bearing on where I would start on the Irish scale? Or do I start on point one all over again. Thanks in advance
