Have three Zipp wheels for sale. All clinchers

    404 dimpled front
    808 dimpled rear
    sold
    404 non-dimpled rear

The 808 and 404 (dimpled) were my triathlon wheetset for races only, bike raced two seasons on the front 404 and got a 404 (non-dimpled) rear to pair it with. None ever crashed (im yet to be in a crash in a race somehow!). I took the decals off the 808/404. Bomb proof wheels, still running very smooth.

The rear 404 is non-dimpled from the generation just before i think. I replaced the hub and only rode about 200km on it since replacement. Slightly older so priced slightly less.

I think both wheels are from the 2006-2008 hub range - ZIPP 182 REAR and 82 FRONT HUBS (2006-2008). Some Zipp historian might identify better but from reading their website i think this is right. I bought the 404/808 in winter of 2008

    Pricing
Dimpled 404/808 - €450 for the pair. Might split if there is interest in both
    Non dimpled 404 rear - €180

All wheels been sitting up the past year or so after i bought new Firecrest 404s! Love the Zipps!

Im living in Dublin 7 and travel to Belfast every 1 to 2 weeks for work. Also visit Galway once a month or so and also Sligo/Leitrim/Donegal (Bundoran end) roughly once a month too. Wont be posting but with that spread of areas hopefully it might suit most.

    Hey E,

Could you do 400 for the 404/808 pair? I'm in D7 so could make this a quick and easy sale.

450 was kind of what i was after rather than saying 500 hoping for 450 ;-)

How's about meeting in the middle at 425?

Anyone care to offer anything reasonable for the non-dimpled 404? Virtually new freehub on it! Not been used since going up for sale and i wont likely need to use it ever again!

It would hardly take an 11 speed cassette would it?? If, somehow it would, I'm gonna struggle to persuade herself that I need another wheel but I'll offer 120 and I could meet you in Dublin Saturday evening or Sunday morning this week??

A quick look through online suggests it is 10 speed only im afraid, 182 hub on it

You can run 11 speed system on 10 speed hubs, just with a cog missing and a bit of playing around with spacers, limit screws and a dead gear. Link on the how in post below

I should buy it just for the craic of turning up on a Ronnie Moore audax event!

With the depth of the rim its effectively a 26" wheel so should be strong as fcuk
