What are these aerials for? Should I take them down?

    In the picture that I attached you can see that I have two aerials and a sky dish on my chimney. My question is do I need the old aerials for anything? Should I take them down or are they useful for anything?

    The large one in the middle is a Band III VHF aerial, used in Ireland for analogue television. So it's now useless. The one at the top is a UHF grid and may be useful for Saorview depending on where you're based.

    Quite possibly. If the OP is in Cork, one could be pointing to Maghera and the other to Mullaghanish. A lot of north Kerry was that way too; VHF from Mullaghanish was better than Maghera, but UHF was the opposite.

    The VHF one can be used for DAB radio, but at the moment it's dependent on location.

    At a guess location is somewhere west of Carrigaline ? The grid ( or colour king ) aerial would have been pointed at The South Coast Transmitter and would have received TV3 and TG4 analogue from Mullaganish off it’s back .
    I would remove the VHF aerial and If the grid is still resonable swing it around 180deg. for best Saorview reception from Mullaganish
