Looking at this clip from the Dublin final I was wondering if people thought it was a fair challenge or a dangerous barge?

    Article and clip here.

It wasn't mice seeing Mullins out cold but it was a perfectly legal shoulder imo. Can't knock McCarthy for committing fully to it.

Very little room for error, but timed to perfection. The best in the business.

    100% legal and fair.

Nothing wrong with it. Mullins described as being like hit by a bus!

Fair play to him going on to have a good game. It was as impressive as the shoulder.

But was he out cold for a couple of seconds, that's what I was wondering, if so they should not have sent him back on.

He looked like he was gone. If McCarthy hit me like that I'd be looking at the ceiling for six months! Mullins didn't lick it off a stone, as they say.

Thought Ballymun were way too nervous. Even in last ten minutes when 3 down they were still kicking the ball back. Should just have had a cut at them. There was nothing to lose. Rock was pretty disappointing I have to say.

The biggest disappointment was Philly. Thought he looked tired and disinterested throughout.

When it happened, it was a "Oooooh" moment. I winced watching it. However, 100% legal tackle. However, when you see it executed, you have to think "should it be?".

I'd also be wary of the fact that Mullins was let back on, you couldn't be right after a hit like that.

seems to look like its not shoulder to shoulder and more shoulder to collarbone area and therefore, its a dangerous tackle

Can't see it being anything but a shoulder to shoulder tackle myself. But it could easily have been shoulder on, Mullins seemed to protect himself in the last split second.

Could raise the question that even a perfect shoulder could be considered dangerous if it's only made perfect by someone evading injury to themselves.
