Reversing camera causing fault?

    Hey
Today I installed a reversing camera and monitor in my 142 Renault Master.
I took the positive from the reverse light wire, the ground for the camera from the ground of a 12v socket by the back door and the ground for the monitor off the supply for the reading lights in the cab.
Everything works as it should, however since installing it, the service light is on and the display says "Braking Fault".
I'm not sure if this is a coincidence or if I've caused this, does anyone have any advice or suggestions on what's going on??

    Thanks in advance.

Taking power from the reverse lights will be the issue, cant just go tapping into wires in a canbus system unfortunately. Thats not a data wire but it will be expecting a certain resistance so it knows if there is bulb issues.

    That make sense alright, thanks.
I disconnected it this morning and plan to just run it off the cigarette lighter supply and put a switch on it. However the fault lights are still staying on, would there be damage done or maybe need to be reset??
