Have recently installed a henley achill room stove. I chose this stove as my father in law has one and it chucks our serious heat. There are a few differences. My room is much bigger, with an open plan sunroom attached, so bigger demand for heat imo. He had his chimney lined with a flexiflu and insulated as it was an old stone chimney. I did not, just had flu adapter fitted as mine is a brand new chimney. Also, the fitter did not put any insulation around my convection chamber. The heat from mine isnt terrible, but takes a long time to heat up. The big difference i notice is that hot air literally gets chucked out of the openings at the top of my father in laws stove, as i believe its supposed to, but on mine, the effect is not the same at all, its almost as if there is no air flowing around the stove. Would this be because the chamber isnt insulated? I notice my iron surround is extremely hot, maybe the hot air is leaking behind the surround?

    Any advice appreciated
