Pressurised System

I am hoping somebody here might be able to help.

I had to turn off the water in my home today as there was a leak in the toilet cistern, and as it is a pressurised water system the potential to destroy the bathroom in water was real so we tuned off the mains and allowed the tank in the attic to empty before replacing the seal on the cistern.

Water is now back on, tanks have refilled but there is little or no pressure in the upstairs toilet cisterns. Shower is fine. I checked the water pump put in the shed, turned it off and back on and reset it and it appears to be running when the taps are turned on but it is not providing any pressure.

I checked the water pressure gauge in the shed and it looks ok, is there somewhere else it needs to be pressurised? I can see another gauge on the hot water system and it appears low. Anyone know anything I can try ?

    The pump is a Grundfos.
The heating system it is integrated into is a SMART AVC.

    Thanks
    J

Are you sure the toilets are actually filled via the pump.
Are the wash hand basin taps beside the wc ok?
A lot of toilets get fed direct from the tank so as to prolong the life of the pump and to not dusturb anyone should the toilet be flushed during the night.

    wash basins are fine.

The pump is coming on when the toilets are flushed, taps are turned on etc.

All the taps have good pressure still, but when the system is working with the pump on the taps are very powerful, same with toilet into cistern they fill in seconds where as at the moment it is taking minutes.

    very strange

Most likely some debris has been dislodged with the full drain down, which should not have be necessary at all, and has gotten caught in the filling valve strainers or behind the diaphragm.
I would suggest dismantle, check, clean and reassemble the filling valves first, but without the need to drain the entire system.
