Broadband Wexford Town

    Hi

We are buying a brand new house in Wexford town, well 3 Km outside the town in a residential area. I have been told different things from the typical providers (Vodafone tell me SIRO is available and then tell me its not). Eir tell me there's no fibre available just DSL, then tell me fibre is available. Virgin aren't there and no-one can tell me when they will be. I am puzzled why there is no fibre/SIRO in place for a new build. I've looked into Rocket but am failing to see anything positive about them.

Can people suggest the best alternative please? Really didn't think Id have this issue in Wexford town!

3KM seems close, but in terms of broadband its not.

    Use this

Wexford Town has areas with a choice of siro ftth , virgin cable , and openeir ftth. It also has pockets with 3 or 4 Meg legacy adsl. What part of town are you in?

Ard na Slaine off Newtown Road. Close to Maldron hotel. Have tried ringing SIRO to get confirmation. Seems like they took the phone off the hook. So difficult to get a definitive answer on this

    Siro laid fibre there.
Put in your address here (x Ard Na SlÁine)

Try Rocket or Carnesore Broadband - they might be more helpful than VOD.

I think eir have EVDSL in the area from the Barntown exchange, but speeds would be 15 meg or so.
