Should the pay for a CO be the same whether in public, health or civil service?

I work in health service on 476 a week and a job I have an interview for has a lower pay, on job description, which is 451. It is point three in CO scale. Should this be the same amount?

If you think you would get better job satisfaction from the new job and can take the hit then go for it...

Are both of those gross or net figures?

Gross for 476. It says grossed up for 451 yes.

I think I may get better job satisfaction in there. I enjoyed attending college in there.

As a rule, your point on the scale should transfer to the new position provided it is the same CO payscale, whether it is in the civil or broader public service. You might want to talk to your union to confirm, though. I'd be interested to hear what the answer is.
