A small question - employment contract

So i started a new job back in May. I received my offer of employment through email, along with a copy of my contract. The offer of employment had my salary and a year end bonus stated in it. Contract was signed and returned to employer.

However, recently I read back through the contract and nowhere is the year end bonus stated. I still have the offer of employment which came from the company email address.

I'm currently still within my probation period and dont want to bring this up incase it leads them to terminate my contract before my probation ends.

NB. I have a great working relationship with the bosses and my fellow employees so this is not a "get what i can out of them" scenario. I just want to see should I be entitled to this bonus that was stated in my offer of employment, or have I messed it up myself by signing the contract which didnt include any mention of the bonus in my remuneration? I ask as from speaking to other colleagues who started around the same time as me, none of them were offered the year end bonus, but are receiving a higher salary than i am for similar work levels.

    Thanks

No, you're good. I think a court would take the view that the bonus was offered as an inducement to sign the contract, and as you have signed the contract they now have a contractual obligation to pay the bonus on whatever terms were expressly or impliedly stated.

Unless they have said so, however, there is no commitment to pay a similar bonus in future years.
