How much would it cost to have an accountant submit return just for rental property ? Is it charged per property x for one y for two etc ?

Is your income from rental less than or greater than €5,000

    Greater

Form 11 so. I don't see why submitting or a Form 11 or 12 would differ in price, unless the level of work required to fill in a form would differ.

I would think it would be about €250 - €300. They might give a voluntary discount as an introductory offer.

Assuming that the records are in good order and the only items on Form 11 is P60/Pension Income & Case V Rental income then it could probably be done for €500 + VAT. it's very hard to give an off the cuff quote and you really need to meet the accountant before they can give an honest quote.

Anybody charging that type of money is seriously ripping you off.

Doing a tax return with just rental income, p60's and medical expenses is the easiest type of tax return.
If an accountant finds it that difficult and time consuming that they need to charge that much I'd question their ability to do it correctly.

I would imagine €300 if you keep good records and €600 if you give receipts.

Many practises will charge upto €1k and assume that you want to talk to a partner for an hour when you hand in your records and when you sign your form for no reason.

Why do you need an accountant ? - I just dud Form 12 online. Doesn't cost anything.

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

I think we can all do it out selves and save a fee. What we dont save is time and also the unforseen issues that we miss out on like unclaimed receipts. . Over or underpayment. While I prefer to get a good price for the service I dont want a clown and to be sure I get the best advice.

Rental income is very straight forward

My accountant charged €150 plus vat for me for the last few years. That was for multiple properties all in. I always give him the receipts etc early in the year and.dont wait til he is busy with end of year.
This year I will have less properties and he is still charging me the same which is fair enough.
It's much the same amount of work for him.
I think there is a website, or at least there was a couple of years ago where they say they'll do it for €100 plus vat per property. You should Google it. Might suit if you only have one property to do but after one then you are better off looking for a total figure like mine than going with that one.
