I came across this interesting map of solar radiation that is published by a Swiss crowd. I don't know how accurate it is, but if it is fairly reliable, it might be useful to set peoples' expectations as to average monthly possible outputs across a year.

Anyone have any views on its accuracy? Or can anyone point to any other source of such data across the year (not just annual averages like are available on Met Eireann for example)?

You can get a simulation prepared using PV-Syst or PV-Sol which are independent software systems. You can put in your location, roof orientation and pitch, brand of panel and inverter etc., and it calculates monthly forecasts. See example attached.
